The Battle for Cyprus

The Battle for Cyprus

This picture was copied from an as yet unidentified woodblock carving known only as "Battle for Cyprus" by me, Gavin. I am attempting to find some information on it so that the original artist can get credit for his work. Once I have proper documentation I will post it for all to see.

Our Shire was to hold a kingdom level event known as "Fighter's Collegium" at a rather old campsite. While the site was perfect for this type of event it had its drawbacks. The major one being that the feast hall was not in the best of shape. So I decided to begin painting murals on bed sheets to try to cover up the worst parts of the walls. This is the second of four that were done. I used a pencil to do most of the drawing, painted with "Apple Barrel" acrylic colors, used wide short-haired brushes, and the canvas was a twin flat sheet (Off-white) from Wal-Mart. A relatively inexpensive, yet time-consuming way to cover ugly spots at event sites.

All of the figures in the picture are roughly the size of a three year old.
