Lord Dieter von Rottweil

Dieter was born in what is now southern Germany in 1324 at the time of the Holy Roman Empire. His family was from an old farming town in known as Rottweil. The Empire was a loose collection of states and duchies ruled by petty princes and dukes from warring families, it is a time of transition and great unrest.

Dieter was raised in a family of ancestry and heritage, while not wealthy they were considered well off by the locals due to their land holdings and cattle.

Since his early teens, Dieter has trained in the arts of war with his father's garrison, which was provided by the Duke of Salzburg. He learned rapidly and excelled in his craft.

On his seventeenth birthday, Dieter joined a muster of twelve thousand men to travel to Rome for the coronation of a king alongside the Duke of Salzburg.

It is a grand adventure for one so young. All his life he has heard tales of great battles and adventure, now he is able to live it.
