The Grey Horn

This is a drinking horn carved by Sir Cona MacPherson in a fit of boredom. He used several paper patterns to trace the designs onto the horn itself, then used a dremel tool to carve the pattern permanently into the horn. The horn was finished with salad bowl finish to seal it and give it a nice sheen.
One of the few drawbacks to drinking horns is, you can't set them down. Well you can..... but they fall over spilling their contents all over the Duchess's brand new, hand made, full on, Elizabethan court garb, with real silk thread. Now you have a problem. Also the "galumph" affect if you drink from the horn wrong is a major annoyance.
