The Black Horn

A hand carved drinking horn
This is another drinking horn carved by Sir Cona MacPherson, he used several paper patterns to trace the designs onto the horn itself, then used a dremel tool to carve the pattern permanently into the horn. If you look at the mouth of the horn you will notice he lined it with copper wire. He hasn't had a problem with wires poking him in the mouth while drinking which was a concern. On the tip is a piece of amber that has been attached by using simple epoxy. This horn is also finished with salad bowl finish to seal it and give it a nice sheen.
